Best Ever Beef Stew: A Hearty, Flavorful Classic

Prepare the Beef: In a large bowl, toss the beef stew meat with flour, seasoning salt, and black pepper until the meat is evenly coated.

Brown the Beef: Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef in batches to avoid overcrowding. Brown the beef on all sides, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove the browned beef and set it aside.

Simmer the Stew: After all the beef is browned, return it to the pot. Add enough water or broth to cover the beef (about 4 cups). Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the beef is tender.

Adjust Seasonings: Taste and adjust seasonings, adding more salt and pepper if needed.
