In a medium saucepan, combine the frozen berries and sugar. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the berries soften and release their juices.
If you prefer a thicker filling, mix the cornstarch with a little water and stir it into the berry mixture. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until it thickens.
