Beef Stir-Fry with Bell Peppers and Rice: A Quick and Flavorful Meal

Rinse the Rice: Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
Cook the Rice: In a medium saucepan, add the rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes or until the rice is cooked through and the water is absorbed. Fluff the rice with a fork and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Stir-Fry

Cook the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the onion, bell peppers, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
Combine Beef and Sauce: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce (if using), sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the beef and vegetables evenly.
Taste and Adjust: Taste the stir-fry and adjust seasoning as necessary, adding more soy sauce or a pinch of salt if desired.
Step 3: Serve

Plate the Dish: Serve the stir-fry mixture over the cooked rice.
Garnish (Optional): Garnish with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, or cilantro for an extra burst of flavor and color.
