Beef and Potato Casserole with Mozzarella

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, until softened and fragrant.

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Season with paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Assemble the Casserole:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Layer the bottom of the baking dish with thinly sliced potatoes, overlapping slightly. Season the potatoes with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Spread half of the beef mixture evenly over the potatoes. Add another layer of potatoes, followed by the remaining beef mixture.

Pour beef broth (or water) over the casserole, ensuring the potatoes are slightly moistened.
