Baked Chicken with Sour Cream and Cheese: A Delightful Comfort Dish

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with a little olive oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Chicken:
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

Make the Sour Cream and Cheese Mixture:
In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined. If you’d like a bit of crunch, you can add 1/4 cup of bread crumbs into the mixture for added texture.

Assemble the Dish:
Place the seasoned chicken breasts into the prepared baking dish. Spoon the sour cream and cheese mixture generously over each chicken breast, spreading it out to cover the chicken evenly.

Bake the Chicken:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and is cooked through. The cheese should be bubbly and slightly golden on top.

Serve:
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
