Spread butter on the outside of both bread slices.

Heat a frying pan over medium heat.
Place one slice of bread in the pan, buttered side down.
Layer mozzarella cheese, tomato slices, and avocado on top.

Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up.

Cook for 3–4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
