An Italian Cake That Will Make You Feel Like You’re in Rome with Every Bite!


Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

Prepare the Cake Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, and olive oil. Beat them together until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice, mixing well.

Add the Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Stir until the batter is smooth and well combined.

Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.

Finishing Touch: Once the cake has cooled, dust the top with powdered sugar for an elegant finish.
