Ingredients:
500g ground beef or lamb
2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
3-4 green chilies, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 cup oil
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
How to Make:
Prepare the Base:
Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add Aromatics:
Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Cook the Tomatoes:
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft, and the oil starts separating from the mixture.
Brown the Meat:
Add the ground beef or lamb, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned.
Spices and Seasoning:
Mix in turmeric, red chili powder, cumin, coriander, and salt. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse.
Add Potatoes:
Stir in the diced potatoes and 1 cup of water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer.
Simmer to Tenderness:
Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the flavors have melded together.
Finish the Dish:
Sprinkle garam masala and adjust salt to taste. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
