Air Fryer Hasselback Potatoes – Crispy, Flavorful, and Oh-So-Delicious!

Using a sharp knife, slice across the potato about 1/8 inch apart, ensuring not to cut all the way through. Leave about 1/4 inch at the bottom so the slices stay connected.
Step 2: Soak the Potatoes (Optional)
Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl of cold water for 15 minutes to remove the starch. Change the water a couple of times if needed.
Step 3: Microwave to Par-Cook
Dry the potatoes with a paper towel and place them in the microwave. Microwave for 3 minutes for 1 potato or 4-5 minutes for 2 potatoes. The potatoes should be soft at this point.
Step 4: Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for 2 minutes.
Step 5: Season the Potatoes
Season the potatoes with salt and pepper to taste. Lightly brush with olive oil or spray with oil. Be sure to season inside the cracks of the slices.
Step 6: Air Fry the Potatoes
Place the prepared potatoes in the basket or tray of the air fryer.
Air fry at 360°F (182°C) for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Step 7: Check for Doneness and Add Flavor
Open the air fryer and check the potatoes for your desired doneness and crispiness.
Sprinkle with garlic powder, thyme, and rosemary. If desired, add butter and cheese and return to the air fryer for an additional 2 minutes to melt the cheese.
Step 8: Add Toppings
