Never put these plants on the windowsill: they will die in a few days.

Some plants may not thrive on a windowsill due to their specific light, temperature, and humidity requirements. Here are a few plants you should avoid placing on the windowsill, as they may not survive for long:

Succulents and Cacti (in direct sunlight)
While succulents and cacti thrive in bright light, too much direct sunlight can scorch their leaves, leading to sunburn and eventual death. Windowsills that receive constant direct sunlight can be too harsh for them.

Ferns (especially Boston ferns)
Ferns prefer indirect light and higher humidity. If placed on a windowsill, the dry heat from the sun, combined with low humidity, can quickly cause them to dry out and die.

African Violets
These delicate plants require bright but indirect light. Direct sunlight from a windowsill can cause the leaves to burn or the plant to become leggy, leading to poor growth and eventual death.
