Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the garlic butter sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add lemon and seasoning: Stir in the lemon juice and zest, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Season with more salt and pepper to taste.
Cook the green beans: Add the green beans to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are tender-crisp.
Combine and serve: Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the lemon garlic butter sauce over the top. Let everything cook together for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
