Warm and Chewy Apple Cinnamon Cookies: A Fall Favorite


Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2–3 minutes.

Add Egg and Vanilla
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Apples and Oats
Gently fold in the diced apples and oats (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Scoop and Bake
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten them slightly with the back of a spoon.

Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are set. Keep an eye on them to avoid overbaking.

Cool and Serve
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
