Waffle Cheeseburger with Maple Drizzle

Prepare your waffles according to package instructions if using store-bought waffles, or make your favorite homemade waffle recipe. Set aside to keep warm.

Prepare the Cheeseburger Patties:
While the waffles are cooking, shape the ground beef into 4 equal patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Melt the Cheese:
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the pan to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Waffle Cheeseburger:
Place one waffle on a plate as the base. Add a cooked cheeseburger patty on top of the waffle. If desired, add optional toppings like sliced onion, lettuce, and tomato. Place the second waffle on top to complete the sandwich.

Make the Maple Drizzle:
In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup and butter. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter is melted and the syrup is slightly thickened (about 2-3 minutes).

Serve:
Drizzle the warm maple syrup mixture over the waffle cheeseburger. Serve immediately while the waffles are crispy and the cheese is gooey.
