Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
Prepare the Brownie Layer:
In a large bowl, prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until smooth and fully combined. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
Make the Cheesecake Layer:
In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. You can use a hand mixer or stand mixer for this step.
Assemble the Layers:
Spoon the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter in the pan, spreading it gently to cover the surface. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the two mixtures together slightly for a marbled effect.
Add the Toffee Bits:
Sprinkle the Heath toffee bits evenly over the top of the cheesecake layer.
Bake:
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). The cheesecake layer should be set, and the brownies should be firm but fudgy.
Cool and Slice:
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 30 minutes, then transfer to the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results). Once chilled, cut into squares.
