In a small saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of flaxseeds and 1/2 cup of water. Bring it to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
You will notice the mixture beginning to thicken into a gel-like consistency. Once it has thickened, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
Strain the Gel:
Once the flaxseed mixture has cooled, strain it using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the seeds. You should be left with a smooth, viscous gel.
Add Aloe Vera and Honey:
In a clean bowl, combine the flaxseed gel with 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel and 1 teaspoon of honey. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Add Essential Oils (Optional):
If you’d like to add a soothing fragrance and extra skin benefits, you can add 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil, such as lavender or rose. These oils are great for relaxation and have anti-inflammatory properties.
Blend to Create Cream:
Once everything is mixed, you should have a smooth, creamy texture. If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can add a little more flaxseed gel.
How to Apply It:
Cleanse Your Face:
Before applying the cream, cleanse your face thoroughly to remove dirt and oils.
Apply the Flaxseed Cream:
Gently massage the flaxseed cream onto your face in circular motions, focusing on areas that need extra tightening (like under the eyes, jawline, and forehead). Avoid getting it into your eyes.
Leave it on:
Let the cream sit on your skin for about 20-30 minutes. During this time, the cream will work to tighten and hydrate your skin.
Rinse Off:
After 20-30 minutes, rinse off the cream with warm water and pat your face dry with a clean towel. You can use this remedy 2-3 times a week for the best results.
