The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe Ever

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Cream the Butter and Sugars:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together with a hand or stand mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add Eggs and Vanilla:
Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated. Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Chocolate Chips:
Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Shape and Bake:
Scoop 2-tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are just set. Be sure not to overbake—the cookies will continue to cook on the baking sheet.

Cool and Enjoy:
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
