Super Fluffy Homemade Muffins: A Perfectly Light and Tender Treat

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease the cups.
Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
Combine Wet Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture. Gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the muffins dense. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
Add Optional Mix-ins:

If desired, fold in your choice of mix-ins (berries, chocolate chips, or nuts) until evenly distributed.
Bake:

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean or with just a few crumbs.
Cool and Serve:

Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
