Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs (this will help the ribs cook more evenly). Season both sides of the ribs generously with salt and pepper.
2. Brown the Ribs:
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ribs and brown them on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. This step adds extra flavor and helps seal in the juices.
3. Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce:
In a medium saucepan, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir everything together and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
4. Bake the Ribs:
Once the ribs are browned, pour half of the honey garlic sauce over the ribs, making sure to coat them evenly. Reserve the rest of the sauce for later.
Cover the skillet with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat easily pulls away from the bone.
5. Finish the Ribs:
Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and preheat your grill or broiler.
Brush the remaining honey garlic sauce onto the ribs, then transfer them to the grill or broiler. Grill or broil for an additional 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the ribs are caramelized and have a beautiful glaze.
6. Serve:
Remove the ribs from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice the ribs between the bones and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes like coleslaw, grilled vegetables, or cornbread.
