Slow Cooker Beef Brisket: Tender and Flavorful Perfection

Pat the brisket dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of the brisket generously with salt and pepper, as well as the smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, cumin, and ground mustard. Massage the seasoning into the meat to ensure it’s evenly coated.
Sear the Brisket:

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the brisket for 3-4 minutes on each side until a brown crust forms. This step enhances the flavor of the meat but is optional if you’re short on time.
Prepare the Slow Cooker:

In the slow cooker, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Place the seared brisket on top of the onions and garlic.
Add the Liquid Ingredients:

In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Pour this mixture over the brisket, ensuring that the liquid surrounds the meat.
Slow Cook the Brisket:

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the brisket is fork-tender. Alternatively, you can cook it on high for 4-5 hours, but slow cooking on low ensures a more tender result.
Rest the Brisket:

Once the brisket is done, remove it from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices within the meat.
Serve:

Slice the brisket against the grain to ensure tenderness. Serve with the cooked onions and garlic from the slow cooker, along with some of the cooking juices. You can pair this dish with mashed potatoes, rice, or a side salad for a complete meal.
