In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.
Drain any excess fat and add the chopped onion. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion is soft.
Add Sloppy Joe Sauce:
Stir in the can of sloppy joe sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and dried oregano (if using). Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Prepare the Biscuit Layer:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Open the can of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Arrange the quartered biscuit pieces in the bottom of the casserole dish.
Assemble the Casserole:
Pour the sloppy joe mixture over the biscuits in the casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Bake:
Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
