Shepherd’s Pie

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
2. Cook the Ground Beef

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
3. Sauté the Vegetables

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
4. Prepare the Filling

Stir in the frozen peas and carrots, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
5. Assemble the Shepherd’s Pie

Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top.
6. Add Cheese (Optional)

If using, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the mashed potatoes.
7. Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling.
8. Serve

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
