Red Velvet Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting: A Decadent Twist on a Classic Favorite

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth and well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring.
In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Stir in the buttermilk, making sure the batter is smooth and slightly thick.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before frosting.
Make the cream cheese frosting:

In a medium mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well between each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
Assemble the brownies:

Once the brownies have completely cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top using a spatula.
If desired, decorate with red sprinkles or grated chocolate for an extra festive touch.
Serve:

Cut into squares or rectangles and serve! These rich, flavorful brownies are perfect for sharing with friends and family or enjoying as a special treat.
