Heat a bit of vegetable oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat.
Add the minced meat and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices (paprika, cumin, etc.). Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, whisk together 4 eggs (reserve 1 egg for later), tomato paste, soy sauce, flour, and mayonnaise until smooth.
Stir the mixture into the cooked minced meat and allow it to cook for another 2-3 minutes, making sure everything is well combined.
Assemble the Dish:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll out the puff pastry and line a baking dish or individual tart pans with it.
Spoon the meat mixture onto the pastry base, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle chopped pickled cucumbers on top and then sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake the Dish:
Brush the edges of the pastry with the remaining egg to give it a golden finish when baked.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve and Enjoy:
Let it cool slightly, then slice and serve. This dish is delicious on its own, or paired with a fresh salad.
