Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Puff Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. If it’s pre-rolled, just unroll it and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
Assemble the Filling: Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the puff pastry.
Add the Sausage and Cheese: Slice the sausages into thin pieces and arrange them over the pastry. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the sausage.
Roll the Pastry: Roll the puff pastry into a log, sealing the edges so the filling doesn’t escape.
Slice the Rolls: Cut the rolled pastry into bite-sized pinwheels.
Brush with Egg Wash: Whisk the egg and brush it over the top of each pinwheel to give them a nice golden finish.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Serve: Let the pinwheels cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy while warm!
