Praliné Almonds: Easy and Irresistible!

Prepare Your Pan: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat for easy cleanup later.

Cook the Sugar: In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves and begins to bubble.

Add the Almonds: Once the sugar mixture has bubbled for about 3 minutes, add the almonds and stir constantly to coat them with the sugar syrup.

Caramelize: Let the almonds cook in the syrup for about 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sugar starts to turn golden brown and forms a thick syrup. Keep an eye on the mixture to prevent it from burning.

Add Butter & Vanilla: Once the almonds are coated and the sugar is caramelized, stir in the butter, vanilla extract (if using), and a pinch of salt. Continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is well combined and glossy.

Cool: Transfer the praliné almonds onto the prepared baking sheet and spread them out in an even layer. Allow them to cool completely before breaking them into pieces.

Enjoy! Once cooled, your homemade praliné almonds are ready to enjoy! Store them in an airtight container for up to a week.

These praliné almonds make a great snack on their own or can be used to top desserts, mixed into salads, or given as gifts!
