Pizza Burgers

In a large bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined, but avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.
Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
2. Cook the Burgers:
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F for beef or 165°F for turkey).
3. Add Cheese and Pepperoni:
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each burger patty. Top with sliced pepperoni and let the cheese melt while the burger finishes cooking.
4. Toast the Buns:
While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns in the skillet or on the grill until golden brown.
5. Assemble the Pizza Burgers:
Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese and pepperoni on top. Add optional toppings like sautéed mushrooms, sliced olives, or fresh basil if desired.
Top with the other half of the bun.
6. Serve:
Serve your Pizza Burgers hot with a side of fries, salad, or a veggie of your choice.
