Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Cook the Philly Steak:
While the fries are baking, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the thinly sliced onions and bell pepper (if using) to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened and caramelized.
Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce (optional).
Assemble the Philly Steak Cheese Fries:
Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and place them on a serving platter.
Evenly distribute the cooked steak, onions, and bell peppers over the fries.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the steak and fries. Return to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley for an extra touch of freshness.
Serve immediately while hot and cheesy!
