In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon and set it aside, leaving a bit of bacon fat in the pan.
Cook the Ground Beef:
In the same skillet, add the ground beef and cook it until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Continue cooking for about 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes soft.
Stir in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the marinara sauce and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Assemble the Lasagna:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large lasagna dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom.
Layer 3-4 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Top with a layer of meat sauce, then sprinkle with Parmesan, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses. Add a layer of crumbled bacon.
Repeat the layering process (noodles, sauce, cheese, bacon) until all ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
Bake:
Cover the lasagna with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Serve:
Let the lasagna rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil for an extra touch of color.
