One Pan Smothered Turkey Wings: A Delicious, Easy, and Flavorful Comfort Meal

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Pat the turkey wings dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
Rub the turkey wings with olive oil and then coat them evenly with the seasoning mixture.
Brown the Turkey Wings:

In a large oven-safe skillet or roasting pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the turkey wings and brown them for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
Remove the turkey wings from the skillet and set them aside.
Make the Smothered Gravy:

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook for 5-6 minutes, until softened and caramelized.
Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
Sprinkle the flour over the onions and garlic, stirring to combine.
Gradually pour in the chicken broth, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
Add the heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and bay leaf.
Stir the gravy well and bring it to a simmer.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Smother the Turkey Wings:

Return the browned turkey wings to the skillet, placing them in the gravy.
Spoon some of the gravy over the wings to ensure they are well-coated.
Cover the skillet with a lid or foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the turkey wings are tender and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
Serve and Enjoy:

Once the turkey wings are done, remove them from the oven and discard the bay leaf.
Serve the smothered turkey wings over mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite side dish, spooning the savory gravy over the top.
Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and enjoy!
