Maple Bacon Cheeseburger Bomb Quesadillas: A Savory and Sweet Twist on Classic Comfort Food

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.
Cook the Ground Beef:

In the same skillet with the bacon grease, add the ground beef and cook over medium heat. Break it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Stir in the chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking until the beef is browned and the onions are soft, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat, then drizzle in the maple syrup, stirring to combine. Let the beef mixture simmer for 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Assemble the Quesadillas:

Place a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of olive oil or butter.
Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread an even layer of the ground beef mixture onto the tortilla, followed by a generous sprinkle of shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Add crumbled bacon on top, then place another tortilla on top to create a sandwich-like structure.
Cook the Quesadillas:

Carefully place the assembled quesadilla in the hot skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted inside. Press down gently with a spatula to ensure the quesadilla sticks together. Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
Slice and Serve:

Once all the quesadillas are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them cool for a minute before slicing into wedges. Drizzle a little extra maple syrup on top for an added touch of sweetness, and serve with optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, or a side of ketchup and mustard for dipping.
