Low-Carb Flying Dutchman Burger with Double Beef Patties and Caramelized Onions

Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes until they become soft and golden brown. Season with a pinch of salt. Set aside.

Cook the Beef Patties:

Season the beef patties with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness, or longer if preferred.

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger:

Place one beef patty on a plate, top with a generous spoonful of caramelized onions, then stack the second beef patty on top.

Use the caramelized onions as your “bun” by placing a layer of onions beneath and above the stacked patties.

Serve:

Optionally, serve with lettuce, tomato, and pickles on the side to complete the low-carb meal.

Enjoy this Low-Carb Flying Dutchman Burger for a satisfying, flavorful meal with all the rich tastes you love, minus the carbs!
