LongHorn Steakhouse’s Parmesan Crusted Chicken (Copycat Recipe)

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Parmesan Crust:

In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, and dried parsley.

Brush the top of each chicken breast with melted butter, then press the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture onto the chicken breasts, ensuring an even coat.

Bake the Chicken:

Return the chicken breasts to the skillet (or place them on a baking sheet if using another pan) and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Make the Parmesan Cream Sauce:

While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.

Once the cream is simmering, stir in the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Adjust seasoning as needed.

Serve:

Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and serve with the creamy Parmesan sauce drizzled over the top.
