Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add the softened butter and mix until the dough comes together. It should be crumbly but able to press into a ball.
Press the dough into the bottom of a greased 8×8-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly to form the crust.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Once done, remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.
Make the Lemon Filling:
In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the mixture and whisk until smooth.
Pour the lemon filling over the baked crust.
Bake the Lemon Bars:
Return the dish to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan.
Finish and Serve:
Once the bars are cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Slice into squares and serve.
