Italian Granny’s Classic Lasagna

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom.

Place a layer of lasagna sheets on top, followed by more meat sauce, a bit of bechamel, mozzarella slices, parsley, and a sprinkle of parmesan and Edam cheese.

Repeat the layers, ending with a top layer of meat sauce, bechamel, and cheese.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.

4. Serve:
Let the lasagna rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. This helps the layers set.

Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top and enjoy the delicious, comforting meal!

Serving and Storage Tips:
Lasagna is perfect for family dinners and leftovers are even better the next day!

To store, cover with foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days. It can also be frozen for up to 3 months.

Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.

Variations:
Vegetarian Option: Swap the ground beef for sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or ricotta cheese for a veggie lasagna.

Spicy: Add extra chili peppers to the meat sauce for a spicier kick.

Enjoy your Italian Granny’s Classic Lasagna, a dish that brings warmth and flavor to any dinner table!
