I think this is the tastiest version of this idea I’ve come up with yet

5. Open the cans of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
6. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and layer half of the biscuit pieces on the bottom.
7. Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuit layer, spreading it evenly.
8. Arrange the remaining biscuit pieces on top of the gravy.
9. Brush the top layer of biscuits with the melted butter.
10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
11. Let the pie cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy the warm, comforting flavors of a beloved Midwestern tradition.
