How To Use ONIONS To Get Rid of Pests – Rats, Flies, Lice, Bugs, Lizards, Mosquitoes, Cockroaches.

Onions can be surprisingly effective in repelling various pests due to their strong odor and natural compounds. Here’s how you can use onions to keep different pests at bay:

1. Rats and Mice
Why it works: Onions contain sulfur compounds that are offensive to rats and mice, making them avoid the area.

How to use:

Cut an onion in half and place it in areas where you’ve seen rats or mice, such as corners, entry points, or under sinks.

You can also hang onion halves in small mesh bags near rat-prone areas.

Change the onion pieces every couple of days to maintain their potency.

2. Flies
Why it works: The strong smell of onions acts as a natural fly repellent.

How to use:

Cut a fresh onion and place it near windows or doors where flies tend to enter.

Alternatively, make a fly spray by blending onions with water and spraying it in fly-prone areas (be cautious, as the smell can be strong).

You can also place onion slices around your kitchen or outdoor eating areas to deter flies.

3. Lice and Bugs (Body Lice, Bedbugs, and Other Crawling Insects)
