How to Make Perfect Chicken Wings: Crispy, Juicy, and Delicious

If your wings are whole, separate them into drumettes and flats by cutting through the joint.
Pat the wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture (this helps make them crispy).
Place the wings in a large bowl.
Season the Wings:

Drizzle the olive oil over the wings and toss them to coat evenly.
Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and chili powder (if using) over the wings. Toss again to coat all the wings evenly with the seasoning.
Optional: For extra crispy wings, add ½ teaspoon of baking powder to the seasoning mix.
Cooking Methods:

In the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top (if you have one). This will allow air to circulate around the wings for a crispy finish.
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack, making sure they’re not touching each other.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
In the Air Fryer:

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden and crispy.
Optional: Sauce the Wings:

If you want to coat your wings in sauce, place the cooked wings in a large bowl and toss them with your choice of sauce (buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce, or any other flavor you prefer).
Serve immediately after tossing in the sauce.

Serve your delicious homemade chicken wings with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese dressing, or extra buffalo sauce.
