Step 1: Prepare a Soaking Bath
Fill a Basin with Warm Water:
Fill a basin or large bowl with warm water (enough to cover your feet comfortably).
Add Baking Soda:
Pour 1/4 cup of baking soda into the warm water and stir to dissolve it. The baking soda will help soften your feet and exfoliate dry, rough skin.
Soak Your Feet:
Submerge your feet in the warm water and soak for 10–15 minutes. Relax while the baking soda helps to soften calluses and dead skin.
Step 2: Exfoliate Your Feet
Use a Foot Scrub Brush or Pumice Stone:
After soaking, gently rub your feet with a foot scrub brush or pumice stone to remove dead skin, calluses, or rough patches. Focus on the heels and balls of your feet.
Massage:
If you prefer, you can mix a bit of olive oil and baking soda to create a scrub. Gently massage this mixture onto your feet in circular motions to exfoliate and moisturize at the same time.
Step 3: Trim and Shape Your Nails
Clip Your Toenails:
Use nail clippers to trim your toenails straight across to avoid ingrown nails. Don’t trim them too short.
File Your Toenails:
Smooth out any sharp edges with a nail file to prevent snagging.
Step 4: Moisturize Your Feet
Massage with Lotion or Olive Oil:
Apply a generous amount of moisturizer to your feet. You can use a rich foot cream, or for a more natural option, rub olive oil onto your feet to lock in moisture.
Step 5: Optional: Paint Your Toenails
