Mix 1/2 cup of baking soda with a small amount of water in a bowl. Stir it to form a thick paste. The consistency should be spreadable but not too runny.
Apply the Paste:
Turn off your oven and let it cool slightly if it’s been used recently.
Spread the baking soda paste generously over the glass door. Use a cloth or your fingers to apply an even layer across the entire glass surface, paying special attention to areas with stubborn stains.
Let It Sit:
Allow the paste to sit on the oven glass for about 15 to 20 minutes. This will help break down the grease and grime.
Spray with Vinegar:
While the paste is sitting, fill a spray bottle with white vinegar. After the paste has had time to sit, lightly spray the vinegar over the baking soda paste. It will bubble up, which helps to lift dirt and stains.
Scrub the Glass:
Use a clean, damp microfiber cloth or sponge to scrub the glass in circular motions. The combination of the baking soda and vinegar will help lift off stubborn grease and grime.
If the glass is very dirty, you can gently scrape off the paste with a plastic spatula.
Rinse and Wipe Clean:
Once the glass is clean, use a damp cloth to wipe away any residue of the paste and vinegar. You may need to rinse your cloth a few times to get everything off.
Polish the Glass:
After the glass is clean, use a dry microfiber cloth to buff and polish the glass to a streak-free shine.
