How to Clean and Restore Bathroom Faucets

Prepare the Area: Clear the sink area and ensure the faucet is cool and dry before beginning.

Lemon Treatment: Cut the lemon in half and rub the cut side onto the faucet. The natural acid in the lemon helps to break down mineral deposits and water stains.

Apply Bicarbonate: Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda (bicarbonate) onto the faucet. It will create a mild abrasive effect that helps to scrub away dirt and grime without scratching the surface.

Scrub with Sponge: Using the hard sponge, gently scrub the faucet in circular motions, focusing on areas with built-up grime or mineral deposits. The combination of lemon and baking soda will help loosen and lift dirt.

Use White Vinegar: For any remaining stubborn stains or limescale buildup, soak a cloth in white vinegar and wrap it around the faucet. Let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. The vinegar will help dissolve mineral deposits and soap scum.

Rinse and Dry: After scrubbing and letting the vinegar sit, rinse the faucet with warm water to remove any residue. Dry the faucet thoroughly with a clean towel or cloth to prevent water spots from forming.

Polish (Optional): For an extra shine, you can rub the faucet with a little bit of olive oil or a soft cloth to restore its luster.
