Honey Butter Sweet Potato Cornbread: A Warm and Irresistible Delight!

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch round or square baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, mashed sweet potato, and honey. Mix until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in dense cornbread.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
Step 2: Bake the Cornbread

Bake the cornbread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool slightly in the pan for about 10 minutes.
Step 3: Prepare the Honey Butter Glaze

While the cornbread is cooling, make the honey butter glaze by beating together the softened butter, honey, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy.
Once the cornbread has cooled for 10 minutes, spread the honey butter mixture evenly over the top of the warm cornbread.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

Slice the cornbread into squares or wedges and serve warm. Enjoy the perfect balance of sweetness, richness, and fluffiness!
