Homemade Pizza Recipe

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and if you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up. If not, a baking sheet will work just fine.

Shape the Dough:

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two portions (for two pizzas). Roll each portion into a ball.

On a floured surface, roll out each dough ball into your desired shape and size, about 12 inches in diameter.

Assemble the Pizza:

Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, and add your favorite toppings.

Bake the Pizza:

Bake the pizza for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly. If using a pizza stone, it may take slightly less time.

Serve:

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
