Homemade Fried Chicken Tenders with Baby Red Potatoes and Cheese Sauce

In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Add flour and whisk continuously for about 1-2 minutes until it forms a smooth paste (roux).

Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until the sauce thickens.

Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and continue to cook until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Boil the Baby Red Potatoes:

In a pot, boil the baby red potatoes until fork-tender, about 10-15 minutes. Drain.

Serve:

Arrange the fried chicken tenders, boiled baby red potatoes, and drizzle the cheese sauce over the potatoes.

Serve with bread-and-butter pickles on the side and homemade dipping sauce, if desired.
