Homemade Caramel Frosting: Creamy, Rich, and Irresistible

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, stir in the brown sugar and milk. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring constantly.
Let it boil for about 2-3 minutes, continuing to stir, until the mixture thickens slightly.
2. Remove from Heat and Add Vanilla:

Take the saucepan off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Let the mixture cool for about 5-10 minutes, so it doesn’t melt the powdered sugar when added.
3. Add the Powdered Sugar:

Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, whisking constantly until smooth. If the frosting is too thick, you can add a little more milk (a tablespoon at a time) until you reach the desired consistency.
4. Beat Until Fluffy:

Once all the powdered sugar is incorporated, beat the frosting with a hand mixer or whisk for about 1-2 minutes, until it’s light and fluffy.
5. Frost Your Cake or Cupcakes:

Spread the frosting on your cooled cake, cupcakes, or other baked goods. For best results, allow the frosting to firm up slightly before serving.
