High-Protein Cottage Cheese Bagels

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and cottage cheese. Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour until it reaches a manageable consistency.

Shape the Bagels
Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then use your finger to create a hole in the center of each ball to form a bagel shape. Carefully stretch the hole to your desired size.

Egg Wash and Toppings
Place the shaped bagels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish when baked. Add your favorite toppings like sesame seeds, everything bagel seasoning, or shredded cheese.

Bake
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bagels are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve
Let the bagels cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite spread, like cream cheese or avocado.
