Healthy Banana Bread Recipe: A Guilt-Free, Flavorful Delight

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Prepare Wet Ingredients:

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth, leaving some small chunks if you prefer more texture.
Add the honey (or maple syrup), applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir everything together until well combined.
Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix to keep the bread light and fluffy.
Add Optional Mix-ins:

If you’re adding nuts or chocolate chips, fold them into the batter gently.
Bake the Bread:

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean. The top should be golden brown and firm to the touch.
Cool and Serve:

Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve.
