Grilled Parmesan Garlic Oysters

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375°F or 190°C). Ensure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Garlic Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon zest. Stir until well combined.

Shuck the Oysters: Carefully shuck the oysters, removing the meat while keeping the briny liquor inside. Place the oysters on a baking sheet or tray lined with coarse salt to stabilize them during grilling.

Assemble the Oysters: Spoon a small amount of the garlic butter mixture onto each oyster, ensuring even coverage. Then sprinkle a generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese on top, followed by a pinch of breadcrumbs. Season with freshly ground black pepper.

Grill the Oysters: Place the oysters on the preheated grill. Grill for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden, and the oysters are cooked through.

Serve: Remove the oysters from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley for color and freshness.

Enjoy: Serve the oysters with lemon wedges on the side, perfect for squeezing over the top for added flavor.
