Grilled Lobster and Shrimp: A Succulent Seafood Feast

Step 1: Prepare the Lobster and Shrimp
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
To prepare the lobster tails, use kitchen shears to cut along the top of the shell, stopping just before the tail fins. Gently pull apart the shell to expose the lobster meat, being careful not to detach the meat entirely.
For the shrimp, if not already done, peel and devein them, leaving the tails on for presentation.
Step 2: Make the Marinade
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, smoked paprika, oregano, chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Whisk until everything is well incorporated.
Step 3: Marinate the Lobster and Shrimp
Brush the lobster meat and shrimp with the marinade, making sure they are evenly coated. Let them sit for 10-15 minutes to absorb the flavors. You can also refrigerate them for up to 30 minutes if you prefer a stronger marinade.
Step 4: Grill the Lobster and Shrimp
Place the lobster tails on the grill, shell-side down. Grill for 5-7 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and firm to the touch.
While the lobster is grilling, place the shrimp on the grill. Grill for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and are cooked through. Avoid overcooking the shrimp to keep them tender.
Step 5: Serve
Once the lobster and shrimp are cooked, remove them from the grill.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
