Grilled Beef Carne Asada Tostadas: Crispy, Flavorful, and Perfectly Grilled

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, pepper, cilantro, soy sauce, and jalapeño (if using). Whisk everything together until well-mixed.
Place the flank steak or skirt steak into the marinade, ensuring the meat is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for the best flavor.
Grill the Carne Asada:

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the steak reaches your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C).
Once cooked, let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
Assemble the Tostadas:

While the steak is resting, prepare the tostadas. Lay out the crispy tostada shells on a serving platter.
Layer each tostada with shredded lettuce, a few slices of avocado, and a spoonful of fresh salsa.
Slice the grilled carne asada thinly and place it generously on top of the tostadas.
Garnish and Serve:

Sprinkle the tostadas with crumbled queso fresco and fresh cilantro leaves for added flavor and color.
Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tostadas just before eating.
