Get 1 apple: many orchid branches will grow on the same twig.

Choose a ripe apple – the riper, the better, since it emits more ethylene.

Place the apple near the orchid plant, but not touching it.

Cover both with a large transparent bag or container to trap the ethylene gas around the plant.

Leave it for 24–48 hours, then remove the setup and let the orchid continue its growth in a well-lit, humid environment.

Note: Avoid leaving the apple for too long, as excess ethylene can stress some plants or encourage rot if moisture is trapped.

Does It Really Work? The ethylene from apples can stimulate certain responses in plants, especially in those already healthy and mature enough to bloom. However, it’s not guaranteed to work for every orchid and shouldn’t replace proper care practices.
